As a kid, did you ever leave a plate of cookies for Santa Claus and in the morning they were gone? In seeing they were gone you probably also had this great revelation that Santa had actually been right there in your living room! What a great feeling, Santa actually ate your cookies.

Sometimes it seems people approach God in the same way, hoping and praying that God is real and that God might once and a while come to visit, even if just briefly. The good news is that God is not only very real, but actually with you all the time in every place you go. There is no place you can go and be out of the presence of God.

A passion for Christ, A vision for the City, A heart for urban youth.

If puberty isn’t hard enough, many of today’s urban teens face drugs, sex, gangs, and violence on a daily basis. How do teens make the right choices? Do they have healthy role models? Do they understand that life is bigger than here and now?

We invite you, your friends, and your community to attend one of our CRAVE student worship services. Crave stands for “Christ’s Resurrection A Victory Experience”.

CRAVE was started by Pastor Paul Stienberg and Youth Leaders Brian Arthur and Tracey Lampe of St Marcus Lutheran church. High school students who assist in the planning, and executing of the worship service designed it to help students tap into their spiritual gifts, and increase their hunger and desire to lead a Christ led life!

Crave is not intended to replace weekly Sunday worship, however it is aimed at helping student’s get to know God better at their level, connect them with Christ, learn more through the Holy Spirit and the “means of Grace” about life by giving them Christ Empowered Opportunities to make a difference in their friends lives, at home, church, community, and the world by assisting them to become a strong and sustainable leaders for God’s plan of salvation. Don’t be afraid to turn it up for Jesus!

We had 61-attend our first St Marcus Crave. R-kaid assisted us with worship along with Brian Arthur Lampe who delivered a dynamic, enthusiastic, encouraging message about how we are “Alive In Christ.” Here is what a few of the students had to say about “Crave”;
